NEW YORK -- Filip Chytil scored the game-winning goal with 3.5 seconds left in overtime to lift the Rangers to 4-3 win over the Devils in a preseason game on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden.

The Devils never lead in regulation, but they tied the game on three separate occasions to force overtime. The Rangers were on a 4-on-3 power play in overtime for the winning goal.

The Rangers opened the scoring in the first period when Kevin Hayes slipped free to take a Jimmy Vesey pass to goal, where he hesitated and slid a pass past Devils goalie Cory Schneider for a power-play goal.
