NFL Rumors: Is Josh McDaniels emerging as Eagles' lead head coach candidate?

Josh McDaniels famously spurned one NFL team and has been spurned by a few others in his quest to land a head coach job. But there's a chance that quest comes to an end this offseason.

New England Patriots offensive coordinator is a "prime candidate" to become the Eagles' next head coach after interviewing with Philadelphia over the weekend, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Monday.

While the Eagles interviewed Buccaneers defensive coordinator Todd Bowles on Monday, McDaniels is a "focus" for Philly at the moment, per NBC Philadelphia's John Clark. Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer also noted the Eagle are doing "extensive research" on McDaniels and are "intrigued" by how he can help turn the franchise around after a 4-11-1 season.
