The accolades have not stopped coming in for NU's talented receiving corps, though.
Redshirt freshman JD Spielman on Tuesday was named a freshman All-American by USA TODAY. Spielman racked up 830 yards on 55 catches in 11 games -- he missed the season finale against Iowa with a shoulder injury -- and finished third in the Big Ten in all-purpose yards.
The Eden Prairie, Minnesota native was one of a handful of Big Ten players on the list, and indication of the amount of young talent in the league.
