Red Report: Huskers coaches hit recruiting trail; Bryant decision looms; Riley wants Bradley more involved

Just because it’s a bye week, doesn’t mean there’s much time for the Huskers to relax.

They’re trying to get several players back from injury for the stretch run. They’re trying to make fixes after losing consecutive home games to top-10 opponents by an average of 31.5 points.

They’re also trying to make headway with potential future players.

Head coach Mike Riley said some assistants would be leaving town to recruit as early as Wednesday night, and that Thursday’s practice would be conducted with about half the coaching staff present.

“We thought we’d benefit from having one more day in high schools,” Riley said.
