I'd be interested to know the exact numbers -- I'm also likely in the minority in this department -- in how many coordinators are in the booth vs. on the sideline. My hunch is that most are in the booth. You just have a better view from up high of everything that's happening, substitution patterns, things like that.
When that's the case, teams have a defined chain of command.
