The Houston Rockets are parting ways with forward Carmelo Anthony, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com reports.
There are no immediate plans to place him on waivers and he will remain on the roster, but not rejoin the team. He's missed the last three games with what the team has listed as illness. The team is expected to make an announcement before Thiursday's game against the Warriors.
Anthony played just 10 games with the Rockets and averaged just 13.4 points since joining the team this past offseason.
