Update: Drouin out six to eight weeks, Byron out four to six

Montreal Canadiens head coach Claude Julien announced the news on Monday morning that both Jonathan Drouin and Paul Byron will undergo surgery and will be out of the lineup indefinitely.

Jonathan Drouin was injured on Friday against the Washington Capitals on a play that Julien said was unrelated to the Alexander Ovechkin hit, but that rather occurred in the third period, and he was unable to complete the game.

Paul Byron was also injured in the game against Washington. His final shift was at 16:51 of the third.
