Having invited 61 players to participate in training camp, the Montreal Canadiens had whittled their roster down as pre-season was set to start. After their game on Thursday night, the team announced a cut of seven more players.
The seven players let go are:
Jeremiah Addison, who had been slated to begin his professional career with the Laval Rocket in October, was also forced to miss the training period entirely after sustaining a shoulder injury that required surgery. He is out indefinitely as he recovers.
The Canadiens also lost Noah Juulsen to a foot injury just as pre-season started.
