Morning Report: Michael Bisping defends Valentina Shevchenko’s performance, likens her to Anderson Silva

Over the weekend, Valentina Shevchenko successfully defender her flyweight title with a unanimous decision over Liz Carmouche. The only problem was, the fight was objectively boring for the fans. Over the course of five rounds, Shevchenko only landed 42 strikes and one takedown (per UFC Stats). The problem for Carmouche was, she did even less, landing only 18 strikes, only one of which was to the head. Needless to say, coming off the back of Shevchenko’s sensational head kick KO of Jessica Eye in June, her main event performance at UFC Uruguay left much to be desired and had fans critiquing her showing.
