‘I’m a stand-up fighting man’ — Tyson Fury rules out move to MMA ahead of Deontay Wilder trilogy

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury wants to make it clear that he has no intention of transitioning to the world of MMA ahead of his boxing trilogy with Deontay Wilder on July 24.

Fury had previously teased of a move to mixed martial arts after training with top-five UFC middleweight Darren Till in 2019 but, after his most recent training session with Californian Nick Diaz, ‘The Gypsy King’ admits that MMA just isn’t the sport for him, citing a lack of interest in ‘grappling up and down on the floor’.

“No, I’ve got no real interest in grappling up and down on the floor and all that sort of stuff.
