Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal have some issues to workout.
The friendship between the two has been well-documented as both fighters climbed the welterweight ladder, but that friendship is no more. Covington accused Masvidal’s envy of fracturing their relationship.
“He’s the type of guy that when you’re doing something for him he’ll use you, but as long as you’re doing better than him and you’re not helping him out anymore he doesn’t care about you anymore,” Covington told ESPN’s Ariel Helwani. “When he got beat up by Demian Maia and I went in there and completely destroyed Demian Maia in his home country, that’s when the relationship started to get a little different and he started to act a little different towards me.
