SF Giants Rumors: Cubs' Scott Harris Hired as GM to Replace Bobby Evans

The San Francisco Giants have hired Scott Harris as their general manager, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

Harris spent the 2019 MLB season as an assistant GM for the Chicago Cubs.

Scott Harris has long been seen as a future GM. He was an integral part of the Chicago Cubs’ rise and comes with the highest recommendations from Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer. Skills-wise, he should be an excellent complement to Giants president of baseball ops Farhan Zaidi.

The Giants haven't formally had a general manager since firing Bobby Evans in September 2018.
