Max Scherzer is coming out of this game after having thrown just 12 pitches. Started stretching his lower half after his final pitch. Davey and a trainer came out, Max threw one warm-up pitch to test it out, and grimaced. He then headed straight for the dugout.

The Nats ace is 5-4 with 104 strikeouts and a 2.22 ERA in 77 innings this season.

The three-time Cy Young award winner and seven-time All-Star has dominated ever since signing with Washington as a free agent in 2015, going 84-43 with a 2.
