Mets' Robinson Cano Placed on IL Because of Grade 2 Adductor Injury

New York Mets second baseman Robinson Cano suffered a Grade 2 left adductor strain that will force him to miss time on the injured list.

The Mets placed Robinson Canó on the IL with a grade two left adductor strain. Jeff McNeil’s MRI revealed a low grade right intercostal strain. He is day-to-day. Amed Rosario was diagnosed with left quad tightness. Also day-to-day.

Cano had been one of the bright spots in the Mets lineup of late. Through 11 games this season the veteran was slashing .
