Greinke exits in eighth with abdominal tightness

Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Zack Greinke was removed in the eighth inning of Wednesday's game against the Pirates with abdominal tightness. He is scheduled for an MRI on Friday, manager Torey Lovullo said after the game.

Greinke was rolling before exiting the game. He allowed just four hits and no runs in 7 2/3 innings pitched. The Diamondbacks went on to win 11-1, and Greinke got the win to improve to 6-1 this season.

Greinke has allowed one or fewer runs in five of his last six starts and has a 2.78 ERA this season.
