On the morning of the draft, Missouri assistant coach Michael Porter Sr. talked to the Post-Dispatch in a phone interview from New York about his son’s preparation for Thursday’s draft, cleared up some questions about his health and looked ahead to Porter Jr.’s rookie year. Porter Sr. will join his son in the green room at Barclays Center on Thursday night along with his wife Lisa, son Jontay, Missouri coach Cuonzo Martin and Mark Bartelstein, Porter’s agent.
