Brooks Ford, son of SLU coach, joins Mizzou basketball as a walk-on

Ford, a 6-2 guard and second-team All-Metro Catholic Conference selection from De Smet High, averaged 8.9 points per game for the Spartans as a senior shot 32.5 percent from 3-point range and 88.2 from the free throw line.

Coincidentally, Travis Ford began his college playing career at Mizzou in 1989 and made the Big Eight Conference's All-Freshman Team.
