COLUMBIA, MO. • Saturday's Auburn-Missouri game won't be the first time Gus Malzahn and Barry Odom have coached head to head. In his lone season as Arkansas State’s head coach in 2012, Malzhan’s offense put up 619 yards of offense in a 33-28 win over Memphis, when Odom was Memphis’ first-year defensive coordinator. Memphis’ defense saw better days under Odom - much better than Mizzou's current defense has seen lately - but Malzahn has spoken highly of the second-year MU coach this week.
“The thing that concerns you about Missouri is I think they’re very talented up front,” Malzahn said on Wednesday's SEC conference call.
