The roads were indeed closed for those who had to face Minnesota Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes in 2017. Rhodes impressive performance in his fifth season with the Vikings last year resulted in him earning a First-Team All-Pro selection and a second-straight invite to the Pro Bowl.
It’s hard to argue against there being a better corner in the NFL last season. Who else was able to shut down some of the league’s top receivers like Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, and Mike Evans like Rhodes did in 2017?
Despite his excellent play last season, the Minnesota corner is only ranked as the 55th-best player on this year’s NFL Top 100 list.
