Gerald Green would be an excellent piece for the Minnesota Timberwolves

After taking a break from the NBA and playing in Russia from 2009 until 2011, Gerald Green is back in the NBA and playing some of his best basketball. Most recently playing for the Houston Rockets, he fit their play style perfectly as an extremely reliable 3-point shooter.

With the Minnesota Timberwolves only having roughly $9 million to spend on free agents this summer, finding bargain players like Green will be key in filling out their roster. With nearly half of their roster from last season set to hit the free agent market, utilizing this small amount of money the correct way will determine whether Minnesota has a roster built well enough to make the playoffs.
