Gophers cornerback and kick returner Jalen Myrick remained hospitalized Sunday in Columbus, Ohio, after suffering a rib injury on the opening kickoff of Minnesota's 28-14 loss to Ohio State on Saturday night.
Gophers interim head coach Tracy Claeys said the hope is Myrick will be released from the hospital Monday.
"He'll be fine, but I would be shocked if he was ready to go for next weekend," Claeys said.
Myrick continued to play after the injury before being replaced in the second half by freshman KiAnte Hardin.
