The district 7-AAA regular season champion Siegel Stars continued their district dominance Monday night by winning the winner's bracket finals over Stewarts Creek 4-1.
Siegel had already clinched a berth in the region by winning the regular season, but the Stars are still playing for higher glory.
"They want to win another championship," Siegel coach Craig Reavis said of his players' focus. "There is a tournament championship on the line, and bottom line is that's what we are playing for.
"We are also playing to host a regional game," Reavis continued. "We've been to Tullahoma the last two years and it didn't work out, so the biggest thing is hosting that regional game here and playing theoretically the weaker of the two teams from the other district.
