Coming off a disappointing loss to Northwestern, the Wolverines got a fast start on the road at Wisconsin Sunday, opening up a 22-point first half lead. Michigan led throughout the contest, but did face some adversity late, with the Badgers climbing back to within seven points. The Maize and Blue held on to win 83-72, claiming victory in Madison for the second time in four tries after a 15 year drought.

While Moritz Wagner struggled on the defensive end against Ethan Happ, allowing the Wisconsin center to score 29 points, he had his own strong outing on offense, leading the Wolverines with 20 points.
