Michigan's recruiting momentum not stalled by Ohio State loss; 4-star flip confirmed

Michigan football suffered a painful defeat on Saturday against Ohio State, one that should have taught the Wolverines some lessons heading into next season.

One is that Michigan needs to upgrade its talent. While in the short term, the focus is on the transfer portal, the best way to close the gap on Ohio State is with high school recruiting.

Michigan football signed a top-10 class in 2025, led by five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood, one of two five-star signees. Michigan also has two five-stars in the 2026 class, plus a new four-star commitment in cornerback Jamarion Vincent, who flipped from Baylor on Sunday.
