Michigan women down Northern Colorado 75-61, advance to NCAA Tournament 2nd round

Michigan's women's basketball team is moving on.

Hallie Thome and Wolverines all-time leading scorer Katelynn Flaherty combined for 44 points to lead the team to a 75-61 victory over No. 10 seed Northern Colorado on Friday in Waco, Texas.

No. 7 seed Michigan (23-9) advances in the Lexington Region and will face the winner of No. 2 seed Baylor and No. 15 seed Grambling on Sunday.

Northern Colorado (26-7), coming into Friday on a 13-game win streak, had no answer for the 6-foot-5 Thome, who scored a team-high 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting.

Flaherty, who entered Friday fifth in the country averaging 23.
