PITTSBURGH — It wasn’t premeditated, just an emotional response to a rivalry destined to boil over.
That was former Michigan football linebacker Devin Bush’s explanation for stomping the Spartan logo a year ago at Spartan Stadium.
And that was former Michigan State football cornerback Justin Layne’s rationalization for his chocking gesture toward U-M's Eddie McDoom two seasons ago in Ann Arbor.
