Michigan stuns Villanova in blowout victory

Coming off a season that set the program record for victories, the Michigan basketball team doesn’t have quite the same “Revenge Tour” slate as in football, but a big one they wanted was the early showdown at No. 8 Villanova. The highly billed rematch of the NCAA Tournament title game was anything but a close battle. The Wolverines jumped out in front early and never looked back, winning 73-46.

Villanova’s offense averaged 93 points in its first two games, but struggled against Michigan’s high energy defense, turning it over 21 times, including 11 steals by the Maize and Blue.
