In all my years as a Michigan football fan, few losses seemingly hit me harder than the one suffered last Saturday night. Obviously, the Wolverines have been dealt many heartbreaking defeats. But losing again to Michigan State was just devastating.
Somehow, with one 14-10 win at the Big House, the Spartans seemed to erase everything Michigan football has achieved. That one win, gave them two of three over Jim Harbaugh. It also gave them control of the rivalry, again.
Maybe that’s why it hurts so bad. After all, Michigan football is supposed to have bigger fish to fry.
