Michigan was missing Zavier Simpson and Isaiah Livers, but coach Juwan Howard praised the "total team effort." Detroit Free Press
LINCOLN, Neb. — When Franz Wagner watched the film from Michigan basketball's two most recent games, he noticed a flaw in his performance.
Wagner realized that he had been too quick to settle for jumpers in home losses to Penn State and Illinois last week. Against the Nittany Lions, he shot just 1-for-8 from outside. Against the Illini, he was 1-for-6.
Wagner didn't necessarily think the 3-point attempts were bad shots. They were open jumpers, and Michigan needs him to take those.
