Former Michigan football player Elysee Mbem-Bosse apologized Sunday for his messages threatening head coach Jim Harbaugh.

In a message posted Sunday morning on his Twitter account, Mbem-Bosse said he takes "full responsibility" for the vindictive chain of messages that purportedly began posting from his account last weekend.

"I take full responsibility for the tweets i made regarding the safety of Coach Harbaugh which i apologize fully for," Mbem-Bosse wrote.

"But being harassed by the university police and being told told I'm mentally ill without proper evaluation is against my civil rights .
