Big Ten Tournament: Michigan baseball eliminated by Ohio State

Michigan's chances of making the NCAA Baseball Tournament took a major hit after it was eliminated from the Big Ten Tournament on Friday by Ohio State.

The Buckeyes, the No. 7 seed, held on to beat the Wolverines (33-21), the No. 3 seed, 5-3 at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska.

The loss was the second straight for Michigan, which is 56th in RPI, after it won its tournament opener against Iowa.

The team entered the weekend projected as one of the first five teams left out of the NCAA Tournament, according to D1baseball.
