Like the sun rising in the east, Tom Izzo was (lightly) rumored to be a name in the head coaching opening for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Two things 1) he will not be the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2019-20 season, and 2) goodness, does Cleveland fire a coach every year? I swear we do this every offseason.
Anyway, it’s too early to tell who indeed will be coaching Cleveland next season. I doubt they would go down into the coaching ranks to get a coach. And if they did, it would probably be a coach that won a conference title last season.
