Michigan State's Matt McQuaid to play for Detroit Pistons in NBA Summer League

Matt McQuaid has found an NBA home for the summer. And he didn’t have to go very far.

The Detroit Pistons agreed to a summer league deal with the former Michigan State basketball captain, two league sources confirmed to the Free Press.

McQuaid helped lead the 32-7 Spartans to the Final Four in April, along with Big Ten regular-season and tournament championships. The 6-foot-5, 200-pound shooting guard averaged 9.
