Michigan State's Big Ten schedules for 2020 and 2021 released

EAST LANSING - Big Ten schedules for the 2020 and 2021 seasons were released Tuesday afternoon and Michigan State will open both years with conference games against Northwestern.

The last time Michigan State began the season with a Big Ten game was 1996 - a 52-14 win against Purdue.

The Spartans, who are in the East Division, will have games against West Division opponents Northwestern, Iowa and Minnesota in 2020 and Northwestern, Nebraska and Purdue in 2021. Wisconsin and Illinois are the two West Division teams Michigan State won't play either season.

The 2020 season will begin with a home game against Northwestern on Sept.
