Michigan State records most sacks since 2015, dominates up front against Indiana

Heading into its Big Ten opener, Indiana boasted a potent rushing attack and was the top team in the conference at protecting its quarterback.

Those were challenges for Michigan State's defense, which turned in a dominant performance up front in a 35-21 win against the Hoosiers on Saturday night.

"I thought the scheme was good, we stopped people at the point of attack," Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said. "We've got good players up front and they can not only hold their own, they can create plays."
