EAST LANSING - The opening coin toss of the season landed in Michigan State's favor near the 50-yard line at Spartan Stadium on Sept. 2.

Coach Mark Dantonio decided to take the ball and attempt to set the tone early against Bowling Green by putting points on the board immediately and it looked inevitable as the Spartans lined up for first-and-goal from the 1-yard line.

Then LJ Scott fumbled at the goal line, Bowling Green recovered and the Spartans were turned away on their opening drive of the season. That remains Michigan State's lone blemish in the red zone so far as the Spartans are 7-for-8 in the red zone through two games and all seven scores are touchdowns.
