Michigan State football gets commitment from 3-star DE from Ohio for 2020 class

The final parts of Michigan State football’s 2020 recruiting class are beginning to come together.

The Spartans picked up their first commitment since December signing day in defensive end Jasiyah Robinson on Monday.

The 6-foot-3, 222-pound Robinson is ranked a three-star prospect and is listed as the 64th best player in Ohio and 98th-ranked strong-side defensive end nationally by 247Sports but does not have a composite grade from the site. He attends Groveport Madison High in Ohio, from where MSU in 2009 plucked an unheralded running back named Le’Veon Bell.

Robinson chose the Spartans over Ball State, Youngstown State and a number of offers from smaller-division schools.
