Michigan State picked up yet another big win over a ranked team on Thursday night, taking down No. 16 North Carolina to improve to 7-0 on the young season.
There’s plenty of time left in the regular season, but Michigan State currently looks like one of the best teams in the country. The Spartans will have to take care of No. 4 Duke next Saturday in East Lansing to really earn the respect of experts who believe that Michigan, Purdue, and UConn are the only contenders in college basketball.
The win over North Carolina was one of the most exciting in recent memory during Feast Week, as the Spartans rallied after the Tar Heels cut their lead to three, out-scoring them 19-6 in the final seven minutes of action.
