Marlins OF prospect Monte Harrison has wrist surgery

The Miami Marlins announced that their No. 2 minor league prospect, outfielder Monte Harrison, has undergone surgery on his right wrist over the All-Star break and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

The 23-year-old is currently ranked as the 85th best minor league prospect, according to MLB Pipeline.

“Harrison injured his wrist on June 26 making a diving catch. He was placed on the 7-day injured list on July 6, retroactive to July 3,” MLB.com’s Sarah Wexler writes. “The injury prevented him from appearing in the 2019 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, though he was selected to be part of the National League squad.
