Miami Hurricanes quarterback Malik Rosier spread the ball around without last season’s receiving yardage leader. Braxton Berrios, Lawrence Cager and Darrell Langham all caught three passes and a touchdown in the season-opening victory over Bethune-Cookman.
The Hurricanes are going to need Richards as the season progresses, but they have a deep and talented receiving corps behind him. Miami is going to need to get running back Mark Walton and tight end Christopher Herndon IV more involved in the passing game.
Walton had two receptions for eight yards and Herndon just one for ten.
