The Miami baseball team entered the weekend with eight straight wins before the scheduled three-game series with Boston College. The Hurricanes captured the first two games of the series with 4-3 and 3-0 victories on Thursday and Friday night. Friday’s game had to be pushed up to 5 PM ET because of impending rain.
The rain could not be avoided on Saturday. Miami was threatening with runners on first and second and two outs in the bottom of the third inning. The game was called after a 2:14 delay. It was the second game canceled this week. Miami and Florida Gulf Coast were rained out on Tuesday night after playing into the fifth inning and tied 1-1.
