Bruce Brown and Pistons survive and advance in NBA Summer League

Brown continued his strong all-around floor game that he demonstrated in his two seasons on the Miami Hurricanes roster. Brown and Lonnie Walker’s showings in Las Vegas helped perpetuate Jim Larranaga’s theory about Miami basketball being helped in recruiting by the success of their alums on the court at the next level.

Brown’s numbers on Saturday nearly mirror what he’s put up in the past week in Las Vegas. He entered Saturday’s game against the Bulls averaging 12.5 PPG, 7.5 RPG, 3.3 APG and 1.5 steals per game. Brown is second on the Pistons in scoring and rebounding and third in assists.
