MIAMI GARDENS — The Miami Hurricanes’ tailspin that started at the end of 2020 continues to carry through into this season, with the latest example being UM’s 38-17 loss to Michigan State (3-0) on Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium.
Miami (1-2) entered the fourth quarter trailing the Spartans, 17-14, with possession of the ball on its own side of the field, but two costly UM turnovers allowed Michigan State to outscore the Hurricanes, 21-3, in the final 15 minutes to secure the 21-point win.
The Hurricanes have now lost four times in their past five games dating back to last season.
