Three-star offensive lineman Parker Moorer committed to Maryland on Monday, the first lineman recruit in the Terps’ Class of 2019.
"I am very blessed and honored to announce that I am committing to the University of Maryland to continue my academic and football career," the Mallard Creek (N.C.) junior standout wrote on Twitter.
The 6-foot-5, 265-pound Moorer, Maryland’s fourth three-star recruit, is rated the No. 52 strong-side defensive end prospect nationally in the 247Sports.com Composite rankings but is expected to play on the other side of the ball in College Park.
First-year offensive line coach Bryan Stinespring was Maryland's lead recruiter on Moorer, who got a Terps offer in March and also claimed offers from Louisville, Temple and West Virginia, among others.
