Maryland football assistant Cory Robinson reportedly leaving for Toledo

Maryland football’s director of player personnel Cory Robinson has accepted an offer to become Toledo’s new cornerbacks coach, according to a report from Sports Illustrated.

While first-year Maryland Coach DJ Durkin has been busy assembling a powerful, recruiting-centric staff over the past month, Robinson becomes the first holdover from Randy Edsall’s final staff to officially land a job elsewhere.

Considered a powerful figure in the Baltimore-area recruiting scene, Robinson joined Maryland’s program last July shortly after the school had expanded its staff by creating several new positions. He spent the previous season as a defensive backs coach at IMG Academy in Florida.
