Maryland basketball’s Darryl Morsell received the Big Ten Freshman of the Week award after two impressive games this past week against Bucknell and Butler. .
Morsell helped fend off a Butler team on Wednesday and also sparked a comeback on Saturday night against Bucknell to avoid an upset. He averaged 14 points, 2 boards, and 2 steals in 2 games and shot 60 percent from the field. Morsell came off the bench in both games after two poor shooting nights for Maryland starters, and is a big part in why the Terps’ record sits at 4-0 rather than 3-1.
