The Maryland football team begins the 2017 season with a very tough task.
The Terrapins will travel to Austin for a date with Texas on Saturday afternoon.
Maryland’s schedule is the toughest that it’s been since joining the Big Ten and maybe ever. Starting off with Texas is the first time that they’ve played a marquee opponent since facing Miami (Fla.) in 2011.
Maryland is coming off a fairly successful season in D.J. Durkin’s first year as head coach. The Terps went 6-7, but did struggle during the bulk of Big Ten play as they won just three league games.
