Ralf Rangnick was 'CONVINCED' injured Cristiano Ronaldo would be available for Aston Villa draw... but admits the superstar 'can't do everything on his own' amid Man United's struggles

Ralf Rangnick has revealed that he was 'convinced' that Cristiano Ronaldo would be available to face Aston Villa last weekend, but insists that the Portuguese superstar 'can't do everything on his own' to help Man United out of their struggles.

Ronaldo was absent as United threw away two points at Aston Villa on Saturday after allowing Steven Gerrard's side to overturn a two-goal deficit thanks to Jacob Ramsey and Philippe Coutinho.

The 36-year-old is believed to be suffering a hip flexor issue, which also ruled him out for their FA Cup victory over the Villans last week at Old Trafford.
