Manchester United have reportedly not consulted the playing staff over the expected arrival of Erik ten Hag as the club's new permanent manager.
Sportsmail understands the Dutchman verbally agreed the framework of a deal on Tuesday morning after United presented him with a three-year contract that includes the option for a fourth year.
The search for a permanent successor to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been ongoing for almost two months, with Paris Saint-Germain's Mauricio Pochettino, Spain boss Luis Enrique and Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui all considered.
But The Manchester Evening News claim United chiefs did not seek the group's opinion on the Ajax boss, with Sportsmail revealing in February the players were in favour of Pochettino taking over as manager at the end of the season.
