Bruno Fernandes 'practiced free-kicks for extra 45 minutes in training' before scoring match-winning set-piece against Liverpool and was annoyed at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer telling him to stop, reveals Manchester United boss

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that Bruno Fernandes began plotting Liverpool’s downfall after learning he was being left out of Manchester United’s team for Sunday's fourth-round clash.

The decision to start Fernandes on the bench allowed United’s talisman to put in extra free-kick practice in training on Saturday, and it paid off with a 78th-minute winner at Old Trafford.

‘Great goal, good free kick,’ said Solskjaer. ‘Wherever he starts he doesn’t stay out. He's never happy with me when I tell him to go inside after training.
